Stevens Coaching LLC

Established in 2022, Stevens Coaching LLC is a life coaching provider based out of Lansing, Michigan. The practice is grounded in confidentiality, authenticity, and inclusivity. Founder and coach Kay Stevens began coaching as the coordinator for a grant-funded education program focused on coaching and supporting community college students with lived experience in foster care, Unaccompanied Refugee Minors, and human trafficking victims. Coaching in that setting and with youth with acute and chronic trauma was a challenging and rewarding experience which taught Kay that finding the confidence and strength to reach goals is always hard, but having the guidance, accountability, and unwavering support of a coach can make it feel just a bit less overwhelming. Through various professional and personal experiences, Kay has grown to wholeheartedly believe that we are all capable of becoming our best and truest selves, and it is okay to ask for help in that journey. Here at Stevens Coaching LLC, we hope to make asking for that help easy peasy by creating a non-judgemental, confidential, and genuine space where clients can be themselves and find learning and growth.

Kay Stevens

Hi, I'm Kay! I use she/her pronouns. So thankful that you landed here! As you're making the big decision to leap into coaching, allow me to introduce myself so that you know who you're working with. First, the experience part -- you want to know why you can trust my expertise, and I'd worry if you didn't! Without including my whole resume, here's the highlights:

• Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University in Creative and Professional Writing

• Master's in Higher Education Student Affairs from Eastern Michigan University

• Board Certified Coach credential from the Center for Credentialing & Education

• Fostering Success Coaching Institute certified Coach Level II

• Youth Coaching Institute Certified Youth Resilience Coach

• 6 years of full time coaching experience

On a more personal note, I am an avid reader who loves the outdoors (kayaking, hiking, running, tubing--anything active!) and starts more crochet projects than I finish. I love other forms of crafting, but mostly only when I have that perfect gift idea for someone I care about and it needs to be made in order to exist. I have an extraordinary partner in life who I am endlessly proud of and always keeps me reaching for my goals. We live in a home we've done way too much DIY on with our two dogs and two cats.
